As contract spending continues to increase, public scrutiny increases. Congressional committees, industry, watchdog groups and taxpayers all expect transparency and accountability for government spending. To ensure that all parties in government transactions act in good faith, the Federal government has established standards of ethics to govern procurement practice. Perhaps now, more than ever, building and maintaining an ethical corporate culture is a prerequisite to doing business with the federal government.
